I chose Surrey Hills Equine Vet as a totally independent vet to carry out a pre-purchase equine vetting. I am so pleased I did. From start to finish from contacting the admin team to meeting Corrado Montoneri the vet carrying out the assessment, I was met with politeness, professionalism & expertise. Many thanks to Surrey Hills Equine and in particular Emily for treating my old (34) horses’s corneal ulcer. Emily has visited many times and has always been friendly, kind and endlessly patient and a great support to me.

Corrado and his team are wonderful, knowledgeable and incredibly tactful. We first called Corrado for a second opinion regarding our elderly Connemara. He was able to make the correct diagnosis and treat him beautifully. Most importantly to me, he listened carefully to us as owners, treated us with great respect and showed enormous compassion towards a much-loved pet and very important member of our family. Since then, Corrado and Emily have continued to support our little herd, and we feel extremely grateful to have them in such knowledgeable and caring hands. Corrado and his team also arranged for a highly knowledgeable specialist surgeon to perform melanoma-removal surgery on my lovely Lusitano at our yard. The entire procedure was organised seamlessly, and his remarkably speedy recovery was especially impressive considering what a sensitive horse he is. I could not recommend them more highly.

We first contacted Surrey Hills Equine for a second opinion when our beloved old pony, Pacco (34 years old), became seriously unwell. Thanks to Corrado and the team’s calm, analytical, and compassionate approach, he made a full recovery after an incorrect initial diagnosis elsewhere. Since then, they have carried out a stress-free melanoma removal for Impe, our 13-year-old Lusitano, helped our Friesian boy Pacheco (24 years old) recover from a sudden loss of condition, and most recently came to the rescue once again during a severe choke incident involving Pacco. Throughout what has been a relentless run of equine emergencies since the beginning of 2026, Surrey Hills Equine have been exceptional — consistently thorough, considerate, and genuinely invested in each horse as an individual, rather than simply another medical case. Their bedside manner with both horses and owners is second to none. We are incredibly grateful to Corrado, Emily, and the entire team. They truly have been the silver lining to a rather difficult start to 2026. Thank you.

We recently used Surrey Hills Equine to vet our new pony. Throughout the process the service we received was excellent. We were kept informed at all times and Corrado was very thorough with the information he provided. We were delighted that everything went well and our daughter is delighted with her new pony! A highly professional service offered for our 5 stage vetting. Corrado enquired about any particular areas we wanted assurance on in advance of the vetting and kept me fully updated as we could not be in attendance. He even filmed the trot ups and lunge work for me. The feedback and report were superb and the office staff were so helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience with Surrey Hills Equine Vets for a pre-purchase vetting with X-rays on a horse for showjumping and eventing. The office team were so kind and helpful, taking the stress out of the process and even guiding me on insurance questions. Communication was excellent throughout, and Corrado rang me straight after the vetting to explain the findings clearly. The full report arrived within hours – amazing service! Unbelievable. Over the last 5 years my precious Ollie has never been sedated without drama and upset until now. Today was such a lovely experience for Ollie and for me! Corrado is kind calm and amazing - can’t recommend Surrey Hills Equine more highly.

Corrado is absolutely fantastic! My pony who can never normally be sedated , he managed to sedate within a minute and he didn’t even blink. He brings positive , calm & kind energy and I most certainly will not be using anyone else . Highly recommend!!!!
